Hi lovelies!
My name is Jazmyn ๐ Iโm a dual major in English and Writing Arts with a minor in music. Yes, I know, thatโs a mouthful. And yes, I am always busy. Beyond what Iโm studying I thoroughly enjoy watching movies, TV shows, anime, and K-Dramas. I also love reading books/mangaโsome of my favorite authors are Holly Black, Neal Shusterman and Jason Reynolds. Iโm currently working on writing my own fictional novel surrounding a young woman named Scarlett who is drafted into the army to fight for her country against her will. In the future I hope to publish that novel with original songs that I craft myself, possibly write a sequel and/or get it animated. Outside of having my nose in a book and writing one, I like drawing and doing puzzles as well as playing/creating music on piano or clarinet; I also play drums, sing, and do a bit of dancing ๐
This Senior Seminar class feels like a big, adult-sized step towards post-graduate life, so as much as I am excited to be doing something like starting a blog, Iโm a little nervous about it. I hope this course helps strengthen my literary voice and my confidence as a writer/speaker. Having dabbled in several genres such as YA, Fiction, Romance, Sci-Fi, and poetry (both written and spoken), blog posts are a welcome addition. I look forward to expanding my knowledge this semester and improving my writing skills even further! See you in my next post!
